"The Practice of Wealth" is about living your purpose

    The Practice of Wealth is about gaining the financial freedom to live your purpose.

    It took me 25+ years to give myself permission to live my purpose.

    I'd thought about writing a book for years.

    I never even allowed myself to dream about being a entrepreneur.

    I spent so many years making the "safe" career choice because I was afraid of taking risks.

    Afraid of creating something that people could criticize, dismiss or ignore.

    Afraid of being on my own - my success or failure dependent on my actions alone.

    Until I took the leap. I moved to an island in the Caribbean, wrote a book and started multiple businesses, at once (not sure I recommend that sequence!).

    Now I have the freedom, the wealth to work on the things that are most meaningful to me - helping women understand their financial personality and change their relationship with money.

    It's terrifying, exhilarating and ultimately the most rewarding career choice I've ever made. But it started humbly, first getting out of debt, and then focusing on saving and investing over time. I took small financial steps, and started the practice of wealth, learning what was truly important to me and finding that many things I once deemed essential were in fact meaningless. Learning that true wealth to me was giving myself permission to live my purpose (on an island in the Caribbean).
